Cannot write to physical hard drive when running UnRAID through VMware

my set up:

I'm trying to run UnRAID on my Windows 7 Box through VMware.

After a few days I have everything working except one thing and I ran out of ideas on how to fix it

I have a physical hard drive that I want UnRAID to see so i set up the "use physical hard drive" feature that VMware has. 

everything works good, UnRAID sees it, I can assign it to an active slot and even start the array.

Then i need to format it... The second i click that button VMware give me an error and it crashes.

I have gone into disk management and turned the physical hard drive "offline"

I am starting VMware in Admin mode

any suggestions?
