July 26, 20205 yr I just got an alert that my syslog is currently 91 % used. I plan to restart the server to temporarily solve this problem, but would like to identify the root cause and address that. The syslog is filled up with countless messages: Quote kernel: i801_smbus 0000:00:1f.3: SMBus is busy, can't use it! If anyone can help out, that would greatly appreciated! November 16, 20214 yr I have a similar issue. When I check system devices this error message is pointing to this: "00:1f.3 SMBus: Intel Corporation C600/X79 series chipset SMBus Host Controller (rev 06)" Log spam is: (kernel: i801_smbus 000:00:1f.3: SMBus is busy, can't use it!". Don't have a clue what to do to fix it though speedwagon-diagnostics-20211115-1814.zip
