steveoa3d Posted July 26, 2020 Posted July 26, 2020 (edited) I tried searching with no luck. I followed the videos from Space Invader One but I still can not get my video to pass through. The screen goes black when I start the VM. Win10 VM will run in VNC no problem, I have a MSI CSM-H87M-G43 (MS-7823) Version 1.0 with a i5-4590 CPU, IOMMU is shown as enabled. I have one videocard installed and the onboard video is not being used. Only videocard is a Zotec GeForce GTX 960, I grabbed a vBIOSfor it and edited out the headers per Space Invader One vBIOS video, tried with and without and no output. Unraid shows this when I use "PCIe ACS Override: DownStream" IOMMU group 10: [10de:1401] 01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: NVIDIA Corporation GM206 [GeForce GTX 960] (rev a1) [10de:0fba] 01:00.1 Audio device: NVIDIA Corporation GM206 High Definition Audio Controller (rev a1) I have tried with and with Space Invader One's XML changes from his advanced video pass though video with out no luck and followed the setup videos. The only thing I have for an error in the logs is the following: 2020-07-26T16:04:06.950661Z qemu-system-x86_64: -device vfio-pci,host=0000:01:00.0,id=hostdev0,bus=pci.0,addr=0x5,romfile=/mnt/cache/domains/VBIOS/Zotac.GTX960.4096.150804Edit1.rom: Failed to mmap 0000:01:00.0 BAR 3. Performance may be slow Without the vBIOS loaded I get the same error but doesn't list the vBIOS. 2020-07-26T16:29:20.885255Z qemu-system-x86_64: -device vfio-pci,host=0000:01:00.0,id=hostdev0,bus=pci.0,addr=0x5: Failed to mmap 0000:01:00.0 BAR 3. Performance may be slow Tried everything I can think of and find from google searches with no luck ! Any help would be great. SOLUTION: I decided to turn on the Intel on board graphics in BIOs and see if it helped. Turned it on in BIOs, swapped the cable over to the onboard graphics connector. Launched into unRAID and everything looked normal Set the Win10 VM to use the nVidia 960 Launched the Win10 VM and swapped the cable over to the 960 port and it worked ! Pass through graphics are working. Remaining Issues If I use the edited vBIOs for my card it will not start up, without the vBIOS it starts. The performance of the VM is bad, very slow and seems like the graphics is dragging. Guess I need to see if I can sort out while its dragging. The same computer flew with the old i3 processor and 8 gigs of ram. Edited July 26, 2020 by steveoa3d Quote
