first time installing a windows 10 vm

ok i have my new unraid server a 3900x with 64gb ram

ive setup a Mac Vm and all my dockers

my problem is im trying to install a windows 10 vm and as soon as it starts to boot i get your device ran into a problem and needs to restart

I don't know if this is the cause or not without knowing the Windows error # but you should change your virtual hard drive from virtio to sata.

 

Aside from that you could check what device is in group 31 from the error in the system log and see what hardware it's referring to.  If it happens to be a hard drive then yeah change to sata.  (In Unraid WebGUI, go to Tools, System Devices and see what's in group 31).
