My plan, and I am unsure it will work, is that I had hoped to setup unRaid as the base for a new home server that I am building.   I would use it to serve as a NAS for my documents, etc, while also setting up Plex on it for my family's media.  As such, and after reading several guides, I decided it would be best to have a cache drive for unRaid.  But, do I also need a separate one for Plex's metadata?  I am sure this is a basic question, but before I finish assembling and setting this thing up, I would rather know now than later and have to add a drive afterward.

I run all appdata including Plex metadata off one cache drive.  The same drive will also caches my user shares.

Can I ask why you went for 4x4TB drives instead of going with something like 2x8TB? The 4TB drives will draw more power overall, take more space, and you're limited to only 4TB if you want to have parity protection.
