[SOLVED] Cannot boot unraid off USB

Featured Replies

Hello All,

I cannot boot unraid 6.8.3. It worked just fine then it did not. So, I reformatted the USB drive using unraid USB tool. I copied everything in /Config over. Ran Make Bootable.bat in admin mode. Tried two USB drives.

Followed everything on this topic:

https://forums.unraid.net/topic/53886-solved-cant-get-usb-flash-to-boot-unraid/

It boots off USB no problem. It just sits a blinking underscore in the upper left of the screen.

Everything I have tried has not worked.

I really need to get this working again.

I just need the Bzroot image to boot.

Motherboard: ASUS Maximus XI

CSM enabled – All Legacy

Secure Boot disabled

Fast boot disabled

Boot/Secure boot OS Type = Other OS

Any insight into what I can do would be greatly appreciated.

Got it. For anyone else that uses ASUS motherboards

Secure Boot - disabled

Fast boot - disabled

Boot/Secure boot OS Type = Other

Try USB 2.0 port only

Wait for F1 error if error – disabled

Launch CSM

Disabled multiple boot options under 'Launch CSM'

(Boot from network, boot from storage, boot from pcie) leaving 'Boot Device Control' on 'UEFI boot only' did not boot into os just black screen.
