Ethernet controller pass-through successful, but internet connection failed

I have successfully done Ethernet controller passthough, with the spaceinvader video, using the vfio-pci.ids method. But i cannot get connected to the internet inside the VM, using the passthough NIC and i am not sure what the source of the problem is.

 

I am running an untangle firewall with a 4-port NIC and and unraid server with an onboard nic, and an extra 2-port NIC.  Here is my setup:

 

UNtangle:

  • port 1: External
  • port 2: internal
  • Port 3: Unraid + docker (VPN)
  • Port 4: Unraid VM (NO VPN)

 

Unraid:

  • eth0: connected to Untangle network port 3
  • eth1 from 2-port nic: connected to Untangle network Port 4
