[SOLVED] Missing Shares

Recommended Posts

Posted

For the past few days I've noticed that some of my shares disappear from the shares tab and cannot be accessed. The shares appear once I reboot but disappear again after a few hours. I've tried stopping and restarting the array but that just results in all the shares disappearing. I've read a few posts here and none of the circumstances seem to apply to my case i.e. mover does not have logs enabled. The first screen shot shows all shares after a reboot:

After restarting array:

Missing Shares:

I've also attached two diagnostics - one when shares were missing and one after rebooting. Appreciate any help you can provide.

Update: I manually started the Move function and the shares disappeared. I got the following from the log file:

How do I unmount filesystem to repair?

So Spaceinvader One came to the rescue

I restarted the Move function and the shares have not disappeared!!!

I suppose this can be useful to someone else in future.
