xuemike
Hi all, few month ago I built an unraid file server, during my most recent parity check i've encountered a problem with my drives. First my parity drive gave me an write error, and also reporting 0degrees I thought might be a lose sensor, i ignored it for a while until i can post something on the forums giving a syslog to see how to debug this problem. Now however the problem is weird, i cannot recreate this error but When the drives are unmounting it takes minutes, also during parity check the system slows to a crawl around 1MB/s. So i thought it might be some cabling issue, after recabling everything I still get the same errors. I took the syslog but i don't quite understand where to begin, some help would be great before I go off and buying stuff and replacing stuff. by the way I am using unraid 4.5.4 Syslog is posted. I did a few things after it booted up like stopping the parity check etc. syslog.txt Link to comment
xuemike
I also did a smartctl check on all the drives within the array they all passed (cache drive failed in windows as well, but I knew that so i placed it as the cache) Link to comment
