[SOLVED] pfSense rules wont allow me to transfer files to an UNRAID box

Featured Replies

Long shot, but if anyone can help me here goes:

I have been having an issue with trying to transfer files to my UNRAID box. I narrowed it down to the rules in pfSense but can't seem to configure it correctly. I have set the source to my PC's IP and the destination to UNRAID's IP and passed the packets in firewall rules but still can't successfully transfer files to it as im still getting 0x8007003B errors. I can still see what's already on the shares though.

I know you probably need more info so please tell me what you need.

Thanks.

At the very least, a topology of your network may be helpful.

Why is pfsense involved at all in a local transfer? And if it's not local, it should be. There are plenty of VPN options both built in to Unraid (wireguard) and pfsense that would bring your PC and Unraid into the same network space.

Nevermind, last ditch effort I completely nuked my ethernet drivers and reinstalled and it fixed the problem so far. All my other machines were still transferring, don't know why I didn't try that first.

Mods can delete this I guess.
