Can I keep old data if I install the hard drives into a new tower?

So, I’m having problems with my 10 year old server and want to build a new one. I want to keep the data from the previous server. The old server doesn’t stay on, so I wouldn’t be able to transfer the data to the new tower.

My question is, if I install Unraid and the old hard drives into the new server will it read the old data?

Each array data drive has its own filesystem and acts as an independent drive if connected to a different system (which can read btrfs / xfs filesystems).

So answer is yes (and in fact I have done that a few times).
