Possible drive failure? "Device is disabled, contents emulated"

Hi all,

 

I have a quick question... I hope. I recently had a drive display this message "Device is disabled, contents emulated", and I found this post letting me know I was a Ninny for trying trying the old restart to fix it trick.... Alas, following that post, I rebuilt the drive back into the array and am posting a copy of the SMART diagnostics here to see if anyone sees any warning signs of failure? (also to note, the server was in a hot closet for awhile, out now, so I'm wondering if that caused some bit errors...)

 

Any help much appreciated!

There is a checkbox to anonymize the diagnostics. You can examine the diagnostics yourself since they are just text files. In fact, I encourage everyone to take a look at their diagnostics.

Ahhh makes sense, it was already checked when I exported. I was looking through the diagnostics and and didn't see any personal information, but there were a lot of files and I wanted to make sure I didn't miss anything :P

Any idea what that's about? I don't think it is a disk.

 

SMART for disk2 looks OK, but it is showing as still disabled in those diagnostics. They are a few days old though. You said you rebuilt?

 

Also those diagnostics are with the array not started, so there are some things they don't tell us, but nothing related to your question.
