Unraid Newbie Posted August 2, 2020 Share Posted August 2, 2020 i saw spaceinvader's video of quick switching using the same gpu for different vms what about same vm with different hardware? will get uuid error if you create more than 1 vm using the same uuid. VM1 with Hardware setup #1 (slot1gpu) VM1 with hardware setup #2 (slot3gpu/usb) is there a way with to quickly switch hardware? with a plugin or app.. Quote Link to comment
Decto Posted October 3, 2020 Share Posted October 3, 2020 Why not create a second VM with the alternate hardware that points to the same disk / vdisk. As long as you shut down one before starting the other, it would work and windows would just reconfigure. I don't know of a way to hot swap PCI-E devices, you wouldn't do that with bare metal install Quote Link to comment
