TheSkaz Posted August 3, 2020 Share Posted August 3, 2020 (edited) I have a virtual machine that I am trying to pass one of my GPUs to. this GPU is the main one that unraid uses when it boots. the other GPU is used for plex. I have downloaded and modified the ROM from techpowerup and am utilizing it. meep Posted August 3, 2020 Share Posted August 3, 2020 If you check the properties in device manager for the basic display adapter, you’ll likely find a -43 error. nvidia drivers do not play nice when they detect the host is a vm. please check the steps outlined in the link in my sig to get started resolving this. (Code 31) ill try seabios (as per your link) Also for troubleshooting, try to not have vnc and gpu assigned at the same time. Use splashtop or some other remote access software (not rdp). TheSkaz Posted August 4, 2020 Author Share Posted August 4, 2020 so far seabios has caused the windows install to take 12 hours or so.... I also just realized that I was installing the RTM version of windows 10.... that could have been an issue. Quote Link to comment

TheSkaz Posted August 11, 2020 Author Share Posted August 11, 2020 ok, after upgrading to 6.9.0-beta25, and using Windows 10 2004, It showed correcly as above, but is not functional within the VM. Here is what GPU-Z shows: it shows 0 memory here, and 4GB memory elsewhere. its an 8GB card. I am using the correct ROM. EVGA 1070 SC ACX 3.0 Quote Link to comment
