Music videos

Featured Replies

Hi,

I have a personal music collection of around 1,500 songs that I have in lossless quality but I mainly use Spotify for my day to day music needs.

When I throw parties or have people round for a few drinks, I like to have music videos playing. I predominantly like 70's, 80's & 90's music.

Can anyone recommend the easiest way to download music videos and which has a large catalogue? I don't mind paying some sort of subscription, however usenet/youtube is either low quality and/or cumbersome.

Thanks.

I'd suggest Tidal streaming servive. It has a very nice phone app. It also has a section of music videos and concerts.  If you have Plex you can also incorporate it into Plex but it's not quite as full featured as the Tidal app itself....however the Plex app will include your own personal music library and playlists saved on your Unraid.

Edit - I just looked through the Tidal music videos section and the majority of it is newer music....it has a little 80's and 90's but it's almost all newer. So that may not work for you.

Hi,

Many thanks for the suggestion, I'll give it a look.

Scouring the Internet, I would have thought there would have been more demand for music videos, but everyone is after music on the go.....I must be a dying breed. 😂

I use music videos. I like to play them when I do work around the house. I use Kodi as my front end with all my music videos in a separate folder on the Unraid server. I have mostly you tube vids and use Any Video Converter  to download the music videos I want. Works very well for my needs. I have a few music vids that play for over an hour, so no need to make a playlist.

Same program I use, does everything I need it to. 👍
