EPYC 7232P compatibility with 6.8.3 stable release

Featured Replies

Here is something on the compatibility and performance  of the new Epyc Systems runnning he current stable release 6.8.3 .

The build:
Supermicro H1 1SSL-i, Version Board Version 2.00
American Megatrends;Version 2.0b

Processor
AMD Epyc 7232P 8-Core 3100 MHz

32GB DDR4 ECC RAM

2HE rackmount case with 8 HDD slots and redundant power supply

Currently, there are 3 virtual machines active on this system:

2 Windows 10 Pro systems (one system as a Server)
1 Linux based database VM

several SMB shares and some Docker services are active

The overall processor load is still very low (around 20%)
It is easily possible to run a full Windows 10 Pro system on a "half" processor core.

I am using "ordinary" Server HDDs, connected to the the onboard SATA ports and no separate cache SSD is used, but the Windows VMs are booting up in just a few seconds.

The overall performance is incredible!

Stability:
The system continuous uptime is now 77 days without any recognized crash or malfunction.
