LSI Flashed Perc H310 Card not recognized in Windows VM

Featured Replies

Hi,

I have a Dell T320 Server with a LSI Flased Perc H310 SAS card. That card controlls 4 SAS Drives

I'm trying to pass through one of them completely to my Windows 10 VM as a second drive. I added in the VM template as a 2nd VDisk. The template accepted it and I restarted the VM

However, the drive does not appear in the windows explorer (why am I not surprissed? It is always the same thing with unraid.). I looked for it at the drive manager and it does not appear, so I went to the device manager and it detetcs a SCSI card but, it can't find the right driver.

(sorry, windows language is spanish, but there it shows "Other Devices" and inside with the exclamation point is the SAS Card I guess).

So I suppose that the Hard drive is not even seen by the VM since the SAS card is not recognized.

Before I threw this SAS card into the server, I tested it in my PC and, in windows 10, it was recognized immediately without the need of any driver.

I tried to pass it through to the VM but if I do that, the array is basically killed because it does not recognize the SAS drives.

Do you have any Idea?
