<SOLVED>make flash usershare invisible

Featured Replies

HI guys,

everything works great and so now it is time to open up shares to the wife and kid ...

all under read only ...  while i am the only one with read/write

BUT the flash share is sitting there all open and naked in networks :P

bit dangerous to my liking...

is there a way to hide it and to only let me be able to access it and that it is kept at reboot ?

as far as i can see there is no way of doing it from the webinterface

and there is no flash.cfg file in shares ....

so how can i protect this share from the rest of the family ?

what version of unRAID?  The answer is different based on 4.X vs. 5.X  Both have the ability to hide the flash share.

It is a known bug in 5.0beta2.

To get around it, use this URL:

http://tower/Settings/Flash?name=flash

You'll then see the security settings.  Should be fixed in 5.0beta3 due out shortly.
