VPN and router questions/conflicts

Featured Replies

My router has "VPN Server" enabled and it is Open VPN with a certificate generator. It has these settings....

Service type is UDP but can be TCP

Has a service port number (that's editable)

VPN subnet/netmask which is editable

Client access options of internet and home network or home network only.

Should I disable that on my router since I will be installing a lot of VPN apps in Unraid? I am installing Wireguard as well as Binhex DelugeVPN.

Will my router interfere with these apps or should I integrate them together somehow? Or can I just ignore what the router is doing and just configure these apps like normally suggested?

Thanks!

I guess partly what I'm wondering is if Unraid would just somehow use my routers setup which is OpenVPN with Dynamic DNS? Or if I need to keep them seperated out.
