August 31, 20205 yr good evening, i followed the how to on changing the parity drive for a larger one, all went well. wiped the old "parity" drive, then formatted it. but now its just vanished... up until then unraid could see it .. now.. im lost ... deathstar-diagnostics-20200831-2215.zip
August 31, 20205 yr Community Expert By looking in your post history I found an older diagnostics zip file. Let me see if I can fill in the blanks left in your post. After upsizing parity, you took the old parity disk and added it as a new disk3. Is that correct?

September 1, 20205 yr Community Expert @fluffybutt Be sure to take a new backup of flash now that you have reused parity as data. This is exactly the situation where you don't want to use an old backup and have it start writing parity data to your new data (old parity) disk. Has happened to more than one user.
