September 1, 20205 yr I have two VM's on my Server which both use a dedicated GPU and run at the same time. I bought a KVM Switch which includes DisplayPort and USB Switch. I d like to be able to switch both my monitor and my USB peripherals, when pressing the KVM Button. The Monitor of course works fine. But I have trouble passing through the USB Devices. The KVM Switch also acts as hub. It seems Unraid only recognizes one Device when connected. The other problem I face is, that of course, the devices cannot be assigned to multiple running machines. I thought using a KVM Switch should be a common UseCase, am I missing something here? I checked the forums and the only option seems to be to buy two USB Controllers and pass them through. My Problem is, I do not have any space left for two USB Controller. Secondly, I don't wont anyone to just be able to plug USB aDevices to my machines.
