Dear Unraid users/support,

 

I have Unraid installed in my home server for half a year and was waiting for someone to fix the SAS spin down issue. I recently noticed that new beta has "Spin down fix". So paid for the licence and tested. But the issue is still there and it is very saddening. Especially since large portion of SAS disks run quiet hot and at home lab its not good, also they are louder while spun up.

 

I have tested spun down with direct commands and it works, so i dont understand why this issue has been overlooked for years if these is reports on this issue.

 

Is it a hard thing to fix?
