hi guys, everytime I click apply button, and it turns out the perl is still not installed.

Im having the exact same issue, how did you solve it? 

I had this same issue.  I couldn't solve it though the plugin, but I was able to get perl installed manually.  I used the slackware installer (upgradepkg) to install perl. After manually installing it shows up as installed and has an update ready, I can't get the update done with the plugin but perl is installed and is working.
