mgutt
I tried to change my unraid network mtu setting to 9000 and I tested 2000 as well. But after hitting the Apply-button it does not finish loading the page. As I parallel leave the webterminal window open I was able to reset the MTU as follows: ifconfig eth0 mtu 1500 After that the GUI loads again. My Netgear GS110EMX has a maximum MTU of 10240: My windows pc looks good as well: netsh interface ipv4 show interfaces Idx Met MTU State Name --- ---------- ---------- ------------ --------------------------- 1 75 4294967295 connected Loopback Pseudo-Interface 1 11 15 9000 connected Ethernet 3 I shutdown the server and checked the network.cfg and it only adds the MTU[0]="9000" setting as expected. Could this be driver related? (Aquantia QNAP 10GBe RJ45 card) Quote Link to comment
korny009
I am new to Unraid and trialing it before purchase. I am running into same problem GUI vanishes when i set the MTU to 9000. Every where else it is set to 9000. Bit disappointed that this was brought up over a year ago and issue is still there. TrueNas has no issue during testing with MTU 9000. I do prefer to look and feel of Unraid though.... Quote Link to comment
JorgeB
I never had any issues setting the MTU to 9000, and have done it in multiple servers, maybe NIC/hardware specific issue? Quote Link to comment
korny009
yah very strange... if i set the MTU to 9000 on the unraid i loose the webui. It won't connect but everything else is available like the shared folders and copying is fast as going from Windows 10 to windows 10 which both are set to MTU 9000. If i change it back to 1500 on unraid webui available again... very weird Quote Link to comment
korny009
Seems it sorted itself out. changed it to 9014 just like how it is set in Windows and all is well now... Quote Link to comment
