2TB Seagates at Compusa $69.99 no MIR. ENDED

Thanks Bags...great deal.  Still working today and limit 1 per order.  I ordered 2 (2 separate orders) so I'll report back if one gets bounced.

More thanks for the tip.

I've been staying away from Seagate for a while now given their poor handling of over heating drives with poor access to information about the problem and firmware upgrades.  Lost data.  This deal is cheap enough that I'm going to buy one and see if I can get comfortable with Seagate again.

It took a really long time before I was willing to buy Hitachi drives after the Death Star mess.

FYI, there's a recommended FW upgrade to CC35 for these drives.  I have 6 of these in my array and they're working fine for over a year now.  I did have one issue out of the box with a brand new drive but RMA'd it and the replacement has been working fine.

EDIT:  Just got a call from CompUSA wanting to know if the second order was an accidental duplicate order.  I said no and he said both would ship today.

Sweet I'm glad someone could benefit from it.

Sold out!  :-\

Drat.  The drive is back ordered, so no idea when it'll arrive.  :(

Yeah, both of mine are backordered as well.  I'll just keep watching prices.  Newegg is down to $79.
