Mover Failing and CPU Max Load

Featured Replies

A new issue started happening the past few days, mover will lock up the system and pin the cpu with max load. I show many sha256sum commands running taking up a lot of cpu, Only a reboot resolves the issues. I tried killing the mover in terminal but CPU is still pinned with sha256sum using most of it.

Setup:

Raid array with 2 parity

2 cache SATA SSD drives in raid 1

i7-4790

24gb ram

SS of top in terminal:

Any help identifying the cause would be helpful.

If you want additional advice, go to Tools - Diagnostics and attach the complete Diagnostics ZIP file to your NEXT post in this thread.
