January 18, 201115 yr background. I have transmission installed and the download folder is /mnt/disk2/torrents however when I connect to the share torrents from mac and try to unzip a file it says error no read write permission then i telnet into tower and do chmod -R 777 /mnt/user/torrents after this until the torrent creates a new folder its ok. but if i download a new file/folder i have to redo the above command is there a way around this problem?
January 18, 201115 yr start transmission as nobody should be fairly easy or run a script every hour or so to chmod the contents of mnt/user/torrents it is because everything is run as root and so it ends up with root permissions
May 2, 201115 yr Is there a way to modify the unMenu Transmission script to run Transmission as nobody?
