Badcam40
Hi Everyone, I have unraid set up with a 120gb cache disk. When i use sabnzb and load it up with a lot of media as the cache disk fills up sab will pause the downloads reporting the disk is full. The cache disk is set up so data will hit that first then bleed down into the array. There is no issues when leaving to download down load by download (normal operation) but when i load it up i get this error. Is there a way to tell sab to continue to download regardless of disk being full - as from my understanding yes the cache disk is full but it can still accept media at a slower rate? any info would be awesome Quote Link to comment
trurl
You have to set Minimum Free for the user share to get a cache-yes user share to overflow to the array, otherwise it just fills up and fails. You should set Minimum Free to larger than the largest file you expect to write to the share. Unraid has no way to know how large a file will become when it chooses a disk for it. If a disk has less than Minimum, it will choose another. Quote Link to comment
trurl
In my opinion, your cache is too small for much actual caching, since you will want to keep appdata, domains, system shares permanently on cache so your dockers/VMs won't have performance impacted by parity, and so they will not keep disks spinning. I am assuming you are writing to a cache-yes user share and not directly to the cache drive. Quote Link to comment
