TheFreemancer
I have a 240gb SSD set as cache. And I have a few shares to set to use cache as prefer or only. One of those is system. Even with those settings I still found myself having the files in the array. Tried mover, nothing. So I fired up unBalance that gave me permission errors. So went into the tools tab and used fix permissions to everything. Finally, went into unBalance and tried to move all the shares that have set to use cache is only/prefer to the cache. After that all my dockers are gone. I can see /system/docker.img. I can see everything on my appdata, including the docker's files. Not sure what could have gone wrong or how to fix it. tower-diagnostics-20200916-0758.zip Edited September 16, 2020 by TheFreemancer Quote Link to comment
TheFreemancer
It seems for a miracle, only installing the dockers again and everything *seems* to be working fine. Even the paths were preserved. Quote Link to comment
Decto
If you want to move docker and vm's to cache then you need to disable them first, check the share is set to 'cache prefer' (move from array to cache) then run mover. If the services are running the mover won't touch those files. Edited September 16, 2020 by Decto Quote Link to comment

"disable them" is a little ambiguous, I've seen multiple people simply stop all VM's and containers, as opposed to disabling the services in settings. I always stress that before you run the mover, be sure the VMS and Dockers tab are missing from the GUI, to ensure the services are indeed disabled. Quote Link to comment
