Unraid wont boot anymore - HP DL350 server

Featured Replies

Hi,

my unraid server have been running for a long time now, then one of the disks from the arry failed and i turned off the server to take out the disk, the server was turned off untill i got the new disk so it have been turned off for 2 or 3 weeks, pluged in the new disk, turned on the server and now it fails to boot, i have tryed to remove the new disk, make a new usb boot, buy a new usb stick to boot from, checked the bios if some settings should have changed, boot up without the raid controller.

I have taken a photo of the screen when it fails to boot, it newer goes on with the boot, it just keep on hanging at this point

Create a USB-Stick with MemTest86 https://www.memtest86.com/ and check your RAM.

If you can enter the BIOS, try to reset the RAM-settings to default - if this doesnt help, change the RAMs and see what happens.

Use "only one good and working" RAM and try to boot unraid.

Sometimes it happens that the CPU cant no longer see the RAM-Slots (one, two or all). Maybe a reseating of the CPU can help.

Silly question: Have you moved the Server from one place to an other or got the Server "kicket" by someone?

Regarding the Powersupply: Are you "really" sure that it is working "properly"? If not, do a CrossTest with another PS and see what happens.
