Losing settings on container update/edit - v6.8.3

Featured Replies

Hello! I have a problem where I'm losing docker container settings like repository, network type (custom w/ IP address), and additional entries when I perform a container update or manually editing a container. This happens across multiple containers so it doesn't appear to be a specific image or container issue. For instance, I use the LTS image for linuxserver/unifi-controller and 10.1.1.20 for it's IP address. In image 1, it shows this clearly working when installing and in image 2, that it is active with those settings as well. After right clicking the docker container and going to edit, it shows in image 3 that it has reverted back to the "latest" image and network type of "none" which obviously won't work. Could it be a permissions issue or some setting "stuck" somewhere? https://imgur.com/a/JtpLeMM

Can you reboot and try it again.  Your syslog doesn't start at the beginning, and is being flooded with CPU package xx over temp  (You might want to look at better cooling)

Thanks Squid! Here are the files again after a fresh reboot. I stopped all my containers from auto-starting and only performed the update on the Unifi controller to hopefully reduce the log clutter. As for the cooling issue, I'm aware of it and have been looking out for some low profile CPU coolers to throw in the server.

Just wanted to post a follow up in case anyone has this issue in the future. For some reason, a few of my Docker container templates were pointing to a backup folder location. When clicking the edit container option, it would update the current container, but not write the template file for whatever reason (permissions most likely). The only reason I caught this was because of the URL path pointed to that folder instead of the "/boot/config/plugins/dockerMan/templates-user" folder. I removed the backup folder, stopped the affected containers, and then rebuilt them pointing to the correct template folder. All good since then...
