Moving to new hardware

Featured Replies

I trialled unraid for the last 6 months on some test hardware I had lying around and absolutely loved it.  I purchased a HP microserver gen 8 for cheap from eBay and set about moving over to it. I followed the wiki but hit a stumbling block in that the usb key I was using wouldn't but on the gen8.

I took a backup of the original key and set about getting unraid to boot on the gen8.

I now have it booting on the gen8 but I'm wondering how to import my disks (4x4tb).

I'm not bothered a out losing my dockers as I wouldn't mind setting these up again from scratch.

The /config of your flash drive backup has all of the settings. If you want to restore everything then just copy it all over to your current flash drive (overwriting everything).  Optionally, if you just care about your disk assignments then just copy over the super.dat file.
