October 1, 20205 yr I have the same issue with UDMA CRC error count. How do you force a recheck? I did a shut down and replacement of the SATA cable. Now it's doing Parity-"Sync/Data-Rebuild in progress", will this re-check UDMA CRC error? I rather not wait another 8 hours for this to finish. Thanks!
October 1, 20205 yr Community Expert I have split your post into its own thread. Go to Tools - Diagnostics and attach the complete Diagnostics ZIP file to your NEXT post.
October 1, 20205 yr Author Ok, thanks! uploading the diag file. I am just wondering if "Sync/Data-Rebuild in progress" will force a re-check of "UDMA CRC error" on the drive. If not, what is the procedure to do that? Thanks! zerg-diagnostics-20201001-1718.zip Edited October 1, 20205 yr by treecats
October 1, 20205 yr Community Expert UdMA CR`c errors were connection issues that would have caused retries at the time until the transfer either completed OK or a failure was reported. As such there is nothing to re-check. Also the count never gets reset - it can only increase, so as long as it remains stable you are no longer getting such errors.
October 2, 20205 yr Author Ok. This is the information I am looking for, even though there isn't much I can do. Thank you very much! Please close thread!
October 2, 20205 yr Community Expert You can acknowledge the SMART warning by clicking on it on the Dashboard page. It will warn again if the count increases. 6 hours ago, treecats said: Now it's doing Parity-"Sync/Data-Rebuild in progress", will this re-check UDMA CRC error?
