Unraid 6.7 osx mojave smb connection dropped

Featured Replies

I'm unable to keep an smb connection alive with smb shares.  I have tried various settings.  Current set to export-yes, security-private, users have rw access.  The shares mount and stay active for a few hours and then they are disconnected.  I am also experiences similar issue with high sierra.  That computer seems to stay active for days then randomly disconnects the share.  For the last 6 months I have been using Afp on the high sierra computer and that keeps it's connection alive, but also seems to share the connection with any computer on my network.

Also afp rw is at least twice as fast as smb for me.  I understand that afp has been removed by unraid, so I'm not going to be able to upgrade unraid until I figure out how to get smb working.

I did some searching here, but don't see a solution.  Any advice on how to keep smb alive.

Thanks for any insight.
