October 4, 20205 yr This weekend I added a second cache drive to create a cache pool (2x 500GB in RAID 1) and afterwards Plex won't play a lot of media. I suspect its a corrupt database but I am unsure how to fix this without losing all my user accounts, etc. When I try to play something it comes up: "An error occured trying to play media." If I go direct to the media folder and play it on my PC, it's fine and works. Any thoughts?

October 4, 20205 yr Author Yes, some does work. Some doesn't. It's hit or miss as well. Some of the stuff that works is things I've had for years. Some of it that doesn't work is also some that I have had for years. None of the new stuff works, i.e. recently added shows or movies.

It's the player or the connectivity between player and the content or ... I would "grep - i error *.log " within the logs folder of the Plex server. But as I said, the people over at forums.plex.tv are used to interpret logs. Edited October 4, 20205 yr by hawihoney
October 4, 20205 yr Author The content has played before (the old stuff that isn't working now but did in the past). Initial research shows a corrupt database but unraid doesn't have SQLite3 as a package so I am having to figure that out or my Plexi docker.
