I just bought a PCI 4 x USB 3.0 card and just can't get it passed through.

 

I tried to add a usb drive and had also zero drives attached and always created the new VFIO-PCI settings (using the plugin).

 

all I get is this

I tried to passthrough a mother board controller and I get the same message 😞

Are you sure you are not passing through single usb devices to your vm which aren't attached? Check the xml

Yes, but I just made a video, how I fixed it, totally by chance but I trust it will work for many. Thanks for your reply.

OK, I figured something out, more or less by chance.

 

Hope this video will help people like me, where all other solutions didn't work.
