Internet/Network grinds to a halt when Unraid server started

Featured Replies

I've been using Unraid for years with no problems but yesterday things started going wrong with the internet/network in my house and I have tracked the problem down to my Unraid server (6.8.3).

When the server is off everything is fine but when I turn it on the internet grinds to a halt on every other device in my house to the point where it's unuseable.

The server itself generally seems ok (no high CPU or RAM useage) and I haven't made any major changes to it recently.  I generally use it for the usual dockers such as Plex/Sonarr/NZBGet etc.. and an Ubuntu VM so I tried turning then all off and leaving the server for a bit.  The same thing happened however.  I am at the point now where I have no idea how to track whats causing it.

Any idea?  Are there any logs I could post which might help track the issue?

Thanks

No but ive just checked and I don't

so you will have to give more details:

how many nics in your server ?

do you use lacp? if so check switch config and try with only one nic plugged.

where is your dhcp server ?

you have to search for every thing that can have an impact on your network.
