What is the easiest way to swap an empty drive with a new drive?

I have a 2TB HDD that doesn't have any data on it (well, 14GB from formatting to xfs, but no files).  Is there an easy way to just swap that out with my new 8TB drive?

    You still need to rebuild, or do a new config and re-sync parity.

    Arguably rebuild is slightly easier and probably less likely to make errors, but people sometimes invent ways to make errors anyway.
