January 21, 201115 yr I just precleared a WD20EARS with the -A option and added it to the array with the 4k aligned MBR using 4.7.1. The read/write stats on unmenu for the new drive do not make since to me. Can someone help me understand why the read/write for a freshly added drive is so high? You spent 30+ hours reading and writing that drive during the clearing process, they are probably what you see. Joe L.
