(Solved) Shares and MacOS: There was a problem connecting to the server

Featured Replies

I'm scratching my head on this and don't know why my shares aren't working anymore. Between the last time it worked and now, I've added a few VLAN networks for my docker containers.

tl;dr: Rebooted unRAID and it's working again. Not sure why

Note: This is across all my shares, but I'm just using Software in this example. Fix Common Problems only shows issues with out of date containers.

I do have a few user accounts but the shares are all public.

Sometimes the error flips between "You do not have permission to access this server." and "There was a problem connecting to the server"

Below is what I see in the syslog, but the permissions to /mnt/user/Software is still 777

Software on the actual disk is still 777 too.

Hope this is enough information.

I rebooted into safe mode and it worked...what could stop it from working when not in safe mode?

Solution: Reboot

Not sure what happened but rebooting unRAID seems to have fixed it.
