ridley
I just tried to replace a reiserfs 1tb drive in the array with a 14tb drive, which didn't seem to go well as it hung whilst mounting the drive. I noticed it was trying to use reiserfs on a 14tb drive will that work? I had done a parity check prior to the drive replacement. Now I cannot roll back to the 1tb drive or seemingly use the 14tb as it reports invalid config. Not sure what to do but was thinking new config, setting all drive allocations as before, check everything seems to be working, then rebuild parity with the 1tb back in place. Add the 14tb to the array with xfs and then copy data from smaller drives into it so I can remove them from array. Any gotchas, checks I should do before going forward? Or should I even do this? Gragorg
Here is the information to shrinking the array. Add the 14tb as a new drive with XFS and then follow the shrink array procedure to remove the 1 TB. Quote Link to comment
