High Sierra VM not utilizing hyperthreads

I've been running a HS VM on my Ryzen 3950x build (passthrough hardware) for a while now, and I just today noticed that none of my isolated hyperthreads are being used. The odd thing is that my monitoring software (iStat Menus) sees them, but they sit at 0-1% while the cores run as normal.

 

I haven't been able to find anything searching, so do you guys have any ideas why this would be?

 

VM passed through hardware: 8 cores/16 threads, 32gb RAM, GTX 1080, NVME drive
