Muhamad Aidil Karim
Hi, I am quite new to unraid. After reading review and watch other build, I am decided to build one. I have new unraid 6.8.3 build with spec below: Motherboard: GIGABYTE Z490 VISION G Processor: CORE I9 10900K RAM: VENGEANCE LPX CMK (3600) 16GB x 2 I was unable to use build-in Intel 2.5G NIC. In the system devices it show: Quote [8086:15f3] 05:00.0 Ethernet controller: Intel Corporation Device 15f3 (rev 02) However, when I plugged-in the NIC to my switch (Gigabit Port), the system unable to get IP address. Since I am quite new to this, I did not have any idea to troubleshoot. I hope to get some help and answer here. Temporary I have added Realtek PCI Express Gigabit Ethernet temporary until this issue is fixed. Thank you. Quote Link to comment
itimpi
You would need to run the 6.9.0 beta release (which includes a much newer Linux kernel than the 6.8.3 release) to have drivers for your NIC. 1 Quote Link to comment
Muhamad Aidil Karim
Dear itimpi, Thank you for the reply and support. I will try once next stable release is out. Currently my setup runs several VM which I migrate from previous platform (Hyper-V) which cannot afford downtime. I will update when tested in next stable release. BTW, when target next stable release will be out? Edited October 19, 2020 by Muhamad Aidil Karim Add Information Quote Link to comment
