October 19, 20205 yr Im wondering if i broke something. I have 4 drives in my array of 3 tb of size and 1 parity so I tried to toss 3 other drives I had laying around in there too and now I don't see the new drives at all???? These other drives are older 500 gig drives but still??? do I just not see them because they are already formatted for NTFS or something?

October 19, 20205 yr Author Oh this can squarely be laid at my feet for being a moron. I am running my array through an HBA and I didn't get the second sas connector seated properly upon fixing that layer 1 problem I have the drives undergoing a preclear to see if its worth using them or not
October 19, 20205 yr Community Expert If you don't need the capacity yet I recommend not adding disks. Each additional disk is an additional point of failure. Older smaller disks especially don't seem worth it.
