[SOLVED] Mover - No Space Left on Device

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I have come across this issue where when I invoke the mover process almost all of the files when trying to be moved to the array throw this type of error below:

move_object: /mnt/cache/media/tv/filename.mkv No space left on device

I have recently added a 10TB drive to begin consolidating the spread of my media files onto fewer drives. I defined disks 1, 2 and 7 as being available for this share with disk 7 being the new 10TB drive. So I believe I have added more space to the share and I enabled split level to the top 3 directories and even changed the allocation method to most free but I still can't get the mover to successful move the files from the cache. The cache is set to Yes.

I am sure it is something easy I a missing but just can't get the mover script to provide more information.

I would appreciate any suggestion or pointing me in the right direction.

Thanks!

(TBH, split levels confuse the hell out of me ;) )

AMEN!!!

@scott4740 See here for explanation.  And good luck.  Today, split levels cause more problems than they will ever prevent since hard drives are now larger than 250GB!

PS---  Most Free does its level best to do exactly what split level setting is trying to prevent!
