No data is saved for me...

I have got detection working and so on..

 record: enabled for each camera.

Events are created in the ui but no data is saved..

Media Path is mapped to an unassigned devices disks using the slave option.

Not sure what's wrong.

Edit: Managed to get it to work by adding object tracking as well i the config

I have this docker setup and working perfectly. I did have one question though. Does anyone know where "events" or "clips" are saved to? I know clips are deprecated however the way I understand it they are nearly the same thing as Events. I just want to make sure the detection clips/events are not being saved to the docker container and rather my array. I have Media Path set in the template for recordings to save in their own share I created. I can see all of the 24/7 recordings as well as the snapshots that are being stored in a folder called "clips" in the share I specified but I can not for the life of me find where recorded video events are being stored. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Events are stored under /media/recordings/...

As far as I know, frigate uses the same segments to fill both 24/7 and events to reduce redundant storage and drive wear, so:

  • If you have 24/7 recording activated, events are just a database entry and the video you are seeing in the web UI is just a the extract of the main recording from the event start to the end.
  • If you don't have 24/7 recording activated the saved files are exactly the recordings of the events.

In any case, if you want to extract the videos of the events I suggest you to use the API to interact with frigate https://docs.frigate.video/integrations/api

Perfect thanks for the clarification. I can just download the events I need from the WebUI.

IMPORTANT PLEASE

UPDATE TO V0.11.x WILL BE A BREAKING CHANGE:

From 0.11 release onwards there will be only one unified app, so it will be recommended to uninstall the current app (either the normal or the nvidia version) and reinstall it to meet the needs of the new template. The old apps will no longer receive updates.

PLEASE READ THE CHANGELOG TO BE AWARE OF NEEDED UPDATES OF YOUR CONFIG FILE

I’m not seeing an update available for the docker.

Running the nvidia version.

Update is not yet publish, but you will not get available update to nvidia version any longer. When the update is available you will need to uninstall that app and install the new one from CA store.

I'm just advertising that this change is coming.

Hi  i have been struggling with updating to new frigate update on my Frigate. It turns out that hwaccel / ffmpeg is not installed according to  Frigate support. I have checked Coral and that is is live .  Any advice on how i check if hwaccel /ffmpeg is working.

I must  say that it was working before update.

I have an issue with a coral TPU (Mini PCIe) that's on a Mini PCIe to PCI-E card plugged into a PCI Express slot. It will randomly shut down  and I need to restart the server to get it back, I used the script for temperature and it's not getting hot (I have put a heatsink and fan on the TPU). Here is the readings from the script :

I'm assuming the reason for the negative temperature is because of the shutdown, I cannot see any fault in the logs other than :

Over and over until the server is reset. Any idea what's happening?

Thanks.

As you can read, the sentence is wrote referring to the future. The release of the update is still on RC and there is no official date for the publication of the stable release.

The actual image is still pointing to the v10 so any changes on the configuration to meet v11 will cause errors. Please wait for the stable release to upgrade.

Hello, is there any ETA of when the update is coming? I may just wait to install frigate until it happens. Thanks

No, there is no dates as this is still on RC1 and there is an active discussion about some possible issues. Once all the issues are fixed they will publish the release, so you can start using frigate v10 as the upgrade is not such a big deal.

Are you running the nvidia version? Did you install the nvidia plugin on unraid? Did you read this?

You can try to disable the shutdown from the module but be aware that you have to monitor the temperature on your own since even Google mentions in their documentation that the TPUs can be a fire hazard...

It is also possible that your temperature sensor on the TPU is defective.

To disable the shutdown execute the following line from an Unraid terminal:

sed -i "/shutdown_en0=/c\shutdown_en0=0" /boot/config/plugins/coral-driver/settings.cfg

and restart your server afterwards.

I have given this a go, I have also ordered the USB version and was wondering if I could use both at the same time?

I am having a similar issue to @AdvancedMobileRepairs Using the Dual TPU in Magic-Blue-smoke PCIe adapter. Prior to this I was using a single TPU with a different adapter that was working fine. I have been monitoring the Coral Temperatures at they have not been going above 48 Degrees. I have this error in my syslog:

image.thumb.png.6fb23b2914fac15197f6af79b96bf44a.png

If anyone has any insight into this? I already asked in the Frigate github and we troubleshooted to a point but then they told me to ask in the unraid forum.

Thank you

EDIT EDIT:

Per this thread:

I disabled ASPM on PCIe in my BIOS. restarted server and running frigate to see how long it works before the coral shuts down.
