as you can see in the picture, I've added a parity drive to my array.

 

How do I know if the initial parity check is running? And how long will that take?

 

Or is there anything else I have to do? I can't see the "check" button which is referenced in the manual ...

Hit the refresh button and see what comes up on the screen.  The webGUI does not auto refresh.

I too am interested in what you see after a refresh.  Your screen above is rather bazaar!

I agree Rob, very odd.

 

What did the page say before you hit the start? Did it say it would begin a parity sync when you press the start button?

 

You might have to stop and start again. Or stop, unassign the parity, start, stop, assign the parity, start.
