Moved 2nd parity disk now unraid is treating it as a replacement drive

Featured Replies

When I originally setup my 2nd parity drive I had it in a USB 3 enclosure just to make things easier. Unfortunately when I moved it to be connected via sata it changed from ST14000N_MXXXXXXXX_DB123456789607-0:0 - 14.0 TB to ST14000N_MXXXXXXXX so unraid thinks it's new.

I would rather not rebuild a 14TB parity drive if I can help it.  Is there any way to make unraid see it as the original disk?

You are better off rebuilding it since it's possible the USB affected it in other ways than just its identification.
