How can I set safe mode on Windows10 of VM when it booting?

Featured Replies

Hi,

I tried to graphic card(FirePro W600) driver installed and then VM doesn’t boot correctly.

So the Windows 10 trying to boot repeatedly.

In nomally, press the key F8 or F4.. etc.

Then it can appeare the select menu before booting so that I can select safe mode and I remove graphic driver but Unraid didn’t appeared boot menu.

How to solve this problem?

Been awhile, but doesn't Windows 10 after x number of failed boots automatically go into a recovery mode which then gives you the option for Safe Mode?

Doesn't directly answer your question though...

There have no safe mode in the recovery mode. So what I can solve the only way is set the safe mode during boot.

You should have an open to command prompt buried in those recovery menus somewhere.

Something all my W10 clients get  (or used do when I used it more)

bcdedit /set {current} bootmenupolicy Legacy

Allows F8, otherwise it's ~3 times of failed boot before it will prompt for recovery mode.

I tried to bcdedit commend but it doesn’t work.
It can’t find window hard drive by Virtio.
And I tried several time press F8 but it doesn’t work.
