menostos
I have a system with 2 m.2 and 2 SSD which I use as cache devices. This was working for around 2 months. The other day one of the m.2 disappeared from the cache devices. The device is not visible within the device assignment. It's currently an empty slot with the name unassigned. I checked the Bios and both m.2 are visible there. When I go to Tools --> System Devices I also can find both m.2 IOMMU group 15:[144d:a808] 04:00.0 Non-Volatile memory controller: Samsung Electronics Co Ltd NVMe SSD Controller SM981/PM981/PM983 IOMMU group 16:[144d:a808] 06:00.0 Non-Volatile memory controller: Samsung Electronics Co Ltd NVMe SSD Controller SM981/PM981/PM983 The second one is just not selectable for device assignment. I checked the syslog (attachment) for myself, but could not find any errors related to the problem. Does anyone have an idea what the problem is? syslog.txt Edited October 24, 2020 by menostos Quote Link to comment
